What happens once I submit a session inquiry?

After submitting an inquiry for a session via my contact page, I will reach out within 7 business days via email with a quote or ask for more details. Emails will come from taytaykespics@gmail.com. I may also request additional information and ask a few questions before finalizing a quote for you. In the rare case that you haven’t heard from me after the 7 business day window, feel free to send me a message at taytaykespics@gmail.com or direct message me on Instagram @taytaykespics.

I’ve reviewed my quote and am ready to book my session. What’s next?

Once you receive your quote from me, you will have 5 days to accept by signing a contract and paying a booking fee. Booking fee amounts will vary from session to session and are non-refundable. Your date and time will have a tentative hold on it for those 5 days. Once I receive your signed contract and booking fee payment, your session will be locked in on my calendar. After that, all you need to do is show up for your session and get ready to shine in front of the camera! Wedding bookings will involve more contact between us before the big day. What if I don’t return the contract and pay the booking fee within the window?

If you do not return your signed contract and pay the booking fee within the 5 day window, your date will no longer be tentatively held on my calendar and you will need to re-initiate the quote process to book your session. After the 5 day window has closed, your date will be available for other clients to book until you receive a new quote from me that will start the process over again and hold your tentative date and time for a new 5 day window.

I want to reschedule my session. What’s your policy?

I understand that unexpected situations may require you to reschedule your session. Between the day your session is confirmed and 14-days out from your session, you will be able to reschedule your session free of charge. Within 14 days of your session, you can reschedule for a $50 fee. Please know that my availability varies and I may not have a new date available within the same week or even month of your initial booking, but I will do my best to accommodate!

As the photographer, I retain the right to reschedule our session if something extreme comes up on my end (i.e. unexpected hospital stay, family emergency, etc,). However, this case is rare and I will never reschedule a session unless it is absolutely necessary. If I reschedule our session and you can not make a new date work, you will not be charged a reschedule or cancellation fee. Please note these cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

I want to cancel my session. What’s your policy?

Cancelations are advised against, though I understand that life happens. If you do need to cancel your session here are my fee rates:

  • If you cancel at any point once you’re confirmed on my calendar (meaning your contract is signed and returned), there will be a $50 cancellation fee.

  • If you cancel within 15 days of the session, there will be a $100 cancellation fee.

  • If you cancel within 5 days of the session, you will be charged the entire cost of the session.

If something comes up, I recommend rescheduling your session instead of canceling. If something extreme comes up such as an unexpected severe illness or family emergency, please contact me directly. I will handle emergency cancelations on a case-by-case basis. Wedding cancelations will be handled on a case-by-case basis as well.

Please remember that booking fees are non-refundable and will not be refunded if your session is canceled.

How does a wedding booking differ from a lifestyle booking?

Wedding package bookings are more involved than a lifestyle booking! The inquiry and quote process will work in the same way as outlined above. However, your booking will include more contact between us once you’re confirmed on my calendar. Your package will include phone calls with me to chat about your vision/plans and put together a schedule that we will follow to ensure the day runs smoothly and timely. Please submit and inquiry or reach out directly with any additional questions about wedding packages.

My brand wants to work with you. How should I get in touch?

Brands interested in working with TayTaykesPics Photography should submit an inquiry on my contact page as outlined above! Please make sure to include the name of your brand and the specifics of your photography needs. Any details about your goals and visions for your photography needs are extremely helpful to me!

I see you’re based in Minneapolis. Are you open to travel?

While I am open to traveling for photography gigs, please note that travel and stay expenses will be added into the cost of the service. Sessions within 2 hours roughly of the Minneapolis/St. Paul or St. Cloud areas will generally not be subject to travel expenses, though please note that each session will be handled on a case by case basis. If you’re interested in hiring me for something outside of that radius, please submit an inquiry and we can chat about travel/stay expenses!
